Common questions

Pricing, Quotes and the $65 Off

Money questions first, since that's usually what's on your mind before you've even described the fault.

What does the $65 off your first service cover?

It comes straight off the price of your first job with us when you book online, plumbing or gas fitting, emergency or standard. There's no fine print splitting it by job type.

What payment options do you offer?

Standard card and electronic payment on the day, once the quoted amount's been accepted and the work is complete. Nothing is charged before you've said yes.

Why isn't the lowest price your main focus?

Because the lowest quote in Sydney usually means the fastest possible job, not the best one. We'd rather price fairly, fix it properly the first time, and back the labour for good than win a job on price and lose it on quality.

How does your upfront fixed pricing work?

We inspect the job, explain what's actually wrong, then give you one figure covering parts and labour before anything is touched. It stays fixed once you've agreed to it, even if the job runs longer than expected.

Common questions

Licensed, Insured and Done Properly

The standards side: what we're licensed for, and what that means for you.

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

It's a promise that outlasts the usual one or two year window: the labour behind every repair we do is covered for good, not on a timer. That's the whole point of calling it lifetime.

Can I fix a plumbing emergency myself?

For water, shutting the supply off at the meter is a reasonable thing to do while you wait for us. Gas is different: don't attempt anything yourself, get outside and call us, or 000 if the smell is strong.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

It comes down to exactly where the fault sits. Everything on your side of the property boundary is yours to sort; the main pipe under the road belongs to Sydney Water. We won't guess. A quick check on arrival tells us whose job it actually is before a number gets mentioned.

Can you check my licence number?

Yes. Lic #465156C is published right here, and the NSW government's own register at verify.licence.nsw.gov.au will confirm it independently, no need to just take our word for it.

Common questions

When We Can Come

Timing and booking, answered honestly rather than with a vague promise.

How do I book?

Call (02) 9054 3067 for the fastest response, or fill in the callback form and we'll be in touch. Either way, a real person handles the booking, not an automated system.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Water turning up somewhere it has no business being, a completely dead hot water unit, sewage backing up rather than draining, or the faintest gas smell. Any one of those bumps you to the front.

What happens after I call?

First, a conversation to work out what's actually wrong and how urgent it is. From there, a licensed plumber is dispatched, sizes the job up on arrival, quotes it, and doesn't leave until it's fixed and tested.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Yes, every day of the year, no surcharge built in for the calendar. Same-day service applies whenever it genuinely can, holiday or not.

Common questions

Local to Beecroft

A few questions specific to this suburb and what its housing throws up.

Why do Beecroft's older homes get plumbing emergencies?

Most of the village dates to a building boom in the early 1900s, and a surprising amount of the original clay drainage and early hot water plumbing from back then has never been swapped out. A century is a long time for any material to hold up, well-maintained house or not.

How local are you, really?

As local as it gets. The village around the station on Wongala Crescent is where we do a lot of our everyday work, and jobs across Hornsby Shire beyond it are equally routine, not a stretch.

Do you handle strata and units in Beecroft?

Yes, including the newer developments near the village centre. A shared wall or common riser makes for a slightly different job than a standalone house, and figuring out which applies happens before we ever mention a price.

Do you take on local new builds and renovation work?

We do, alongside the older-home repairs that make up most of our calls here. A kitchen or bathroom renovation gets the same licensed, upfront-quoted approach as an emergency callout.
